It has been a very busy time of late! Following the release of DEAD BY DESIGN almost exactly one month ago, my foot doesn’t seem to have come off the gas.
It was a very successful launch with lots of people either downloading the book or purchasing the paperback copy. In fact, the demand on local paperback sales was so great that it caught me out and I had to request additional panic print runs so that I had a product to promote at the the various book events!
The eBook went pretty well too, and after only a few days following release, DEAD BY DESIGN became a UK Best Seller in category on Amazon Kindle.
I then had a busy week – first I was a guest on my local radio station, The Voice FM, talking to fellow authors, Oliver Tooley and Simon Dawson about my new book and why the North Devon landscape plays such an important role in my story telling.
And then I had a lovely evening at Walter Henry’s Bookshop in Bideford for the official release of the paperback, and was lucky enough to have a few Deano fans in the room to ask me lots of great questions.
This is me at the start of the evening trying my best not to look in the slightest bit nervous – big fail!
Followed later that weekend by a day with my friends at Westward Ho! Beach Shop, where I was resident for the day, signing books and speaking to lots of lovely people who kindly came in to keep me company!
Here I am with one local Deano fan, Steve, who kindly took one of my books away with him!
We also have competition winners to celebrate! First, Roger Pullen, who won a signed paperback copy of DEAD BY DESIGN kindly donated by Westward Ho! Beach Shop. And Sheena Exton from Lancashire, who won the very first printed paperback copy of DEAD BY DESIGN. Congratulations to you both!
